When you work from home, your wardrobe has to be as flexible as you are. Some days you’re hopping on Zoom with a client or heading out for lunch meetings—other days, you’re glued to your desk juggling tasks and snacks for your toddler.

Over the years, I’ve found a few go-to wardrobe staples that keep me comfortable and put together, no matter what the day throws at me. Whether you’re building your virtual assistant business or just want to feel confident from your kitchen desk, here are 5 easy pieces to mix and match.

1. The Blazer

A blazer is the easiest way to look pulled together in seconds. It’s perfect for Zoom calls, client meetings, or anytime you need to feel a little more “on.” Throw it over a tank, tee, or even a jumpsuit—you’ll instantly feel more put together (even if you’re still in your fuzzy socks underneath).

2. Soft Pants + Oversized Shirt

This is my “I need comfort but still want to look like I care” uniform. Soft, loose pants with an oversized top are perfect for a chill workday at home. They feel like pajamas, but look polished enough for a quick errand or FaceTime.

3. Graphic Tees (Because You’re Still Cool)

Graphic tees are fun, expressive, and crazy versatile. Pair them with jeans, soft pants, or even tuck them into a midi skirt for a more styled look. If I want to elevate the outfit, I just throw on some earrings or a layered necklace and boom—done.

4. Denim Button-Up

The denim shirt is basically a WFH superhero. Wear it as a lightweight jacket or button it up for a bit more structure. I love how it goes with everything and adds a bit of cool without trying too hard.

5. Accessories That Do the Heavy Lifting

Never underestimate the power of accessories. Stacked bracelets, layered necklaces, simple gold hoops—these pieces can instantly dress up even the most basic tee. And when your hair isn’t doing what you want? A cute hat or headband will totally save the day.
