My Favorite Summer Fruit Dish (work-from-Home Mom Approved!)
If you’re a work from home mom, stay at home mom, or just someone who needs a simple but totally impressive dish to bring to your next gathering — let me introduce you to the Watermelon Crunch Salad.
This is hands-down one of my favorite recipes EVER. It’s fresh, colorful, and the sweet + salty crunch topping takes it to a whole new level. I made it for the 4th of July, and let’s just say… not a single bite was left.
Whether you’re working remotely, building your virtual assistant business, or just juggling all the things while making money at home, this is the kind of recipe that lets you look like you have it all together with almost zero effort.
Ingredients:
- Watermelon
- Peaches
- Kiwi
- Blueberries
- Raspberries
- Strawberries
- White grape juice (about ¼ cup)
- Stick pretzels
- Walnuts
- Brown sugar (about ½ cup)
- Butter (half a stick, melted)
How to Make It:
- In a small pot, melt half a stick of butter, then stir in ½ cup of brown sugar.
- On a greased baking sheet, mix together your pretzels and walnuts, then drizzle the butter/sugar mix over the top.
- Bake at 350°F for 10–15 minutes until toasty and crisp.
- Chop up your fruit.
- Pour the white grape juice over the fruit.
- Finish with your crunchy topping. That’s it!

Mom tip: If you’re taking this to a BBQ or potluck, prep the fruit and crunchy topping separately and combine when you get there so it stays fresh and crunchy.
Kitchen Essentials I Used:
If you’re a mama who loves pretty presentation AND practicality, these are my go-to Amazon finds:
- Cutting board – big enough for all your fruit prepping
- Small pot + baking sheet – perfect for that golden brown topping
- Serving trays – because you deserve to serve it cute
Bonus Recipe: Banana Bread (No Sugar Added!)
While we’re on the topic of festive recipes… don’t miss my no-added-sugar banana bread recipe — it’s another easy, wholesome option that’s perfect for brunch, breakfast, or late-night snacking while you’re working on your virtual assistant hustle.
